Miracle Membrane™ - A unique material composition that achieves impermeability to bed bugs, microscopic airborne allergens, and water or other moisture while remaining breathable. This material is wrapped in a cotton-based, blended material for maximum comfort. Some encasements can be purchased without the cotton-based, blended material.
What does this really mean? - This material will provide total protection from anything it encases and will be impermeable to external objects. It also means the pillow protector will be extraordinarily comfortable to sleep on.
BugLock ™ - This feature offers a zipper system with micro-zipper teeth specifically designed to prevent bed bugs from weaving their way through the closed zipper. This is especially important for nymph bed bugs that are only one millimeter small. The Bug Lock™ feature is designed with raised padding underneath the zipper-end stop, which creates an impassable seal. The seal prevents passage of bed bugs into and out of the pillow protector even if the zipper clasp slightly pulls away from the zipper-end stop.
What does this really mean? Bed bugs will be unable to migrate in or out the pillow protector and will not have access to your pillow. Additionally, these features enable the zipper system to provide a degree of protection even if the zipper backs off slightly, ensuring the greatest level of protection of any pillow protector on the market.
Why do you need this product?
Save your existing pillow: Many people are under the misconception that the solution to a bed bug problem is to throw away all of their bedding. This is false—bed bugs are rarely limited to just the bedding and more typically inhabit surrounding locations in addition to the bed. In fact, improperly moving infested bedding around the home can actually spread the infestation.
Unless bed bugs have been completely eradicated from the home, bedding that has been purchased as replacements will also become infested by pests still present in the home. Using a pillow protector will not only increase the odds of killing the bed bugs currently infesting the pillow, but also reduce the chances of future pillow infestations and prevent unnecessary expense.
Treating or discarding you pillow: If you discover bed bugs and decide to hot launder or discard your pillow, it is advised that you transport them in dissolvable laundry bags specifically designed to prevent spreading the bed bug infestation throughout your residence.
Early detection: Pillow protectors can help increase the odds of detecting bed bugs earlier. The flat-white color of the encasement makes it easy to identify the warning signs of an infestation, increasing the likelihood that bed bugs remain easier to detect earlier. Catching an infestation earlier will make it easier and more affordable to treat.
Proactive and reactive use: Pillow protectors are an excellent proactive counter measure to minimize the effects of an infestation through early detection. They are also a valuable reactive measure if you discover an infestation because they will increase the likelihood of killing encased bed bugs over time.
Recommended Bundle Item: By using pillow protectors in conjunction with mattress and box-spring encasements, you not only decrease the amount of areas bed bugs have to hide, but you can also increase the likelihood of detecting bed bugs earlier and reduce the chances of bed bugs infesting you pillows. Because pillow protectors can be an important complement to mattress and box-spring encasements, they are a “recommended bundle item” and can be purchased together.
