What is a synthetic compound resin strip and how does it work?
Resin strips impregnated with the EPA-registered chemical DDVP, has been used for decades to deal with a wide variety of pests in enclosed areas. Once the resin strip is removed from its packaging, the synthetic compound slowly disperses into the air at low-levels, eventually building up to concentrations that are lethal to the targeted pests in the enclosed area.
Why do you need a Hot Shot® No-Pest® Strip?
Treatment for unique or delicate items: TheHot Shot® No-Pest® Strip is essential for treating delicate, non-consumable items that are, or may be infested, with bed bugs. Because the resin strip releases a low-level vapor, it is able to permeate delicate items or items that cannot be washed, treated with pesticides, or treated with heat. Additionally, No-Pest® Strips can penetrate inside of electronics such as alarm clocks, stereos, computers, TVs and other items that are sensitive and lack other effective solutions. The synthetic compound will ensure that bed bugs and their eggs are killed. The resin strip can also be used to kill a variety of crawling and flying insets as well. Please see the label for a complete list.
Treatment for non-living spaces: Areas that are, or can be, vacated for extended periods of time or that are not regularly occupied, are ideal treatment settings for the Hot Shot® No-Pest® Strip. The resin strips can be used to treat these areas for up to four months before needing replacement.
